Hermits Rest

I’d like to say I’d planned this, but I hadn’t and it was pure luck. The road west of the Grand Canyon Visitor Centre on the South Rim is closed to general traffic for pretty much the whole year – due to sheer weight of visitor numbers I guess. However December 1 – 22 Feb you can drive it yourself. So I did. I drove the Challenger along the rim of the Grand Canyon for about 10 miles to a place called ‘Hermits Rest”
