So I’m home in a surprisingly sunny North London. What a trip. I just want to say a massive thanks to all the Daybreak team who made the shoot in Vegas such a fantastic experience – and also huge thanks to everyone at  MGM Resorts, Virgin Atlantic, Routes Rentals, and, of course, Hertz Rentals for all their help.

I’ll still be blogging here in future about the exciting new things happening as I move over from ITV to the BBC – although I dont think much of it will be quite as exciting as hurling a V8 Dodge Challenger at 130mph through the Mohave Desert, but we will see..

If you want to do it yourself – I got the car from the Hertz Adrenaline Collection

https://www.hertz.com/rentacar/productservice/index.jsp?targetPage=adrenalinecollection.jsp

and it really wasn’t that expensive – Rental for the 12 days came in at under $900

I just did the number one thing on my list of things to do before I die. That’s a great feeling. 🙂

  1. What about hurtling a BMW at 100 through a corner at Cadwell Park Junior? Good Luck with all you do in the future and let’s plan the next road trip. An amazing blog. Loved reading it. Heisenberg x

  2. 130 mph? Shome mishtake surely? I thought the speed limit was 55?!
    😉

Great blog btw. Read every entry, esp my favourite places – Scottsdale & Palm Springs.

    1. I was somewhat wary of posting actual MPHs and photos of speedos whilst still in reach of local enforcement. But yeah- of course I fucking caned it when I was off the interstates in Navajo Country in Utah. That was the whole fucking point. I didn’t hire that Orange beast to tool along at 65 on I10

    2. yeah – I didn’t really get to explore Scottsdale due to long drive and tiredness. But I could see why it had Art Club appeal. Palm Springs I explored more thoroughly and I totally got the vibe. Great spot.
